What to Expect
Acupuncture is available at Fusion Chiropractic. New patients will meet with Dr. Budavich to review the acupuncture process and discuss specific needs. Dr. Budavich will then insert extremely thin, sterile (single-use) acupuncture needles into the affected area. The needle depth is actually very shallow, just beneath the skin.
As the needles are placed, you may experience a very brief tingling, dull ache, or slight stinging sensation that quickly subsides. (The entire process is usually relatively painless.) The needles will be left in place for a specific amount of time, often up to 45 minutes. The number of needles and treatments required will depend on your specific needs. Most patients say that they started seeing results in as little as 2-3 visits, but treatment may require as many as 8-12 treatments over a matter of weeks.
